Jérémie Aubé, and Sherry Trenholm, Conference Co-Chairs along with the entire Local Organizing Committee are delighted to welcome everyone to the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) Annual Conference in beautiful Moncton!

Our conference theme is Changing Tides and Ingenuity. CSCE Moncton 2023 plans to bring a diversity of perspectives and traditions of civil engineering, building on ingenuity of our profession, and looking to the future of an ever-changing tide, new expectations, and increasing focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, climate, and sustainability.

Consistently rated as one of the best places to live in Canada, Moncton, New Brunswick is the fastest growing urban centre in the Maritime Provinces. Canada's first officially bilingual city, Moncton is located at the geographic centre of Atlantic Canada, earning it the nickname "Hub-City" and is central to two contrasting coasts: the rugged beauty of the Fundy Coast (home of the highest tides in the world), and the picturesque Acadian Coast (with the warmest saltwater beaches north of the Carolinas). Both coasts have an abundance of delicious seafood waiting for you to taste.

Moncton has vibrant nightlife and strong cultural diversity, provides colourful entertainment and festivals of all kinds and is home to the Capitol Theatre (century old heritage property), Magnetic Hill Zoo which houses nearly 600 animals, and the Avenir Centre which is a modern event centre and recipient of the 2019 CSCE Excellence in Innovation Civil Engineering Award.

Moncton is a safe city with welcoming, friendly atmosphere, provides wonderful hospitality and has been voted the most polite and honest city in North America by Reader's Digest. As a leader in a nationwide green effort, Moncton is a city that is not only growing in population but in reputation. Moncton offers something for everyone, and we look forward to welcoming all CSCE conference participants. We recommend you also plan some vacation time to visit and experience the incredible East Coast of Canada.

The Technical Co-Chairs Serge Desjardins and Gérard Poitras are planning the technical program with specialty conferences in Construction, Engineering Mechanics and Materials, Environmental, Hydrotechnical and Structures. Stay tuned as additional details on this exciting conference become available.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all in Moncton, New Brunswick from May 24 - 27, 2023!
